Green Smoothie #2

Yields

1 smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup kale or spinach
  • 1 green apple(with peel)
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 1/3 of a cucumber(with peel)
  • 1/2 of a lemon
  • one 1 inch piece of fresh ginger
  • 1-2 Tbsp flax, chia, or hulled hemp seeds
  • 1 tsp real maple syrup or raw, organic honey(optional)
  • 1-1.5 cup water

Directions

  • Wash, remove kale from the stem if using & rip up into smaller pieces
  • Core & cut up green apple
  • Cut ends off celery & cut into smaller pieces
  • Cut up 1/3 of a cucumber
  • Peel piece of ginger
  • Add kale/spinach, apple, celery, cucumber, juice of half of a lemon, ginger, seeds, maple syrup/honey if using and water to blender.
  • Blend until smooth
  • Pour into a glass
  • Enjoy!
