Hummus

Ingredients

  • 19 ounces garbanzo beans juices reserved
  • 2-3 tablespoons tahini
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • ¼ teaspoon salt or to taste
  • ½ lemon juiced, about 2 tablespoons
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • olive oil and parsley for garnish

Directions

  • Add all ingredients to a blender or food processor except reserved juices.
  • Pulse a few times to get the blending started.  Add in reserved juice a bit at a time until you reach desired consistency.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl and drizzle with olive oil and garnish with parsley and a sprinkle of paprika or cumin.

       Makes 2 cups.
