Sauteed Maple Apples with Greek Yogurt
Ingredients
- 2 medium Apples, such as Fuji, Gala or Pink Lady
- ¼ cup 100% Pure Grade A Organic Maple Syrup
- 2 tablespoons Butter(organic, pasture-raised)
- 1 ½ teaspoons Cinnamon
- – Sprinkle of Nutmeg
- – Pinch of Salt
- – Sprinkle of Light Brown Sugar(or Swerve Brown Sugar)
- ½ cup Vanilla Greek Yogurt(organic, pasture-raised)
Directions
- Warm large skillet over medium heat. While the pan is warming, rinse apples under cool running water and pat dry. Cut into thin slices.
- Once the skillet is warm, melt butter and add in sliced apples. Sauté, stirring occasionally for 3-4 minutes or until apples are soft.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and add in maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Stir until the sauce thickens and begins to bubble.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Dish and top with a dollop of yogurt and sprinkle with brown sugar to serve.
