Sauteed Maple Apples with Greek Yogurt

Ingredients

  • 2 medium Apples, such as Fuji, Gala or Pink Lady
  • ¼ cup 100% Pure Grade A Organic Maple Syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Butter(organic, pasture-raised)
  • 1 ½ teaspoons Cinnamon
  • – Sprinkle of Nutmeg
  • – Pinch of Salt
  • – Sprinkle of Light Brown Sugar(or Swerve Brown Sugar)
  • ½ cup Vanilla Greek Yogurt(organic, pasture-raised)

Directions

  1. Warm large skillet over medium heat. While the pan is warming, rinse apples under cool running water and pat dry. Cut into thin slices.
  2. Once the skillet is warm, melt butter and add in sliced apples. Sauté, stirring occasionally for 3-4 minutes or until apples are soft.
  3. Reduce heat to medium-low and add in maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Stir until the sauce thickens and begins to bubble.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  5. Dish and top with a dollop of yogurt and sprinkle with brown sugar to serve.
